Thanksgiving in Young!

We went to Young to see Grandpa and Grandma Brenay this year for Thanksgiving and the kids had a blast! We met up with Jim, Melissa, Cassandra, Jenny, and Ian. It was good to see them after two years. Emma loved riding the "varoom varoom" with Grandma and Grandpa and could have spent the whole trip picking up rocks. On the other hand, Derrick had a little too much influence from Mark "Brokeback" Brenay and really took to the cowboy way of life! The result of the trip? Emma crashed out on the way home; probably dreaming of rocks, ducks attacking her, and goats that say "hahhh." By the way, Crystal said I need to come clean with my authorship of this blog...so there you have it...I wrote and stand by it! Posted by Picasa

Sorry!

Please excuse the many typing errors I made on my last blogs! I didn't spell check or really read over them until they were posted and realized I had several errors!! As Emma would say, "Silly mama!"

Fancy slippers!

Anut Jeni sent Emma some slippers a long time ago that just now fit her! And she LOVES them! She wears them all the time! She wanted to wear them to church instead of her church shoes, but I finally convinced her otherwise! So, thanks Jeni!

Where's Derrick?!

Derrick has finally figured out a way to get around! No, he doesn't crawl or scoot yet, he rolls! I found him in on the tile the other day, which he can scoot backwards on really well! Since then I have found him in strange places! He always manages to get stuck somewhere! I couldn't find him for a few seconds the other day! He was being very quiet and had rolled over into the corner under him jumper!! He alos loves to kick his legs and gets them stuck in the slats in his crib! So I have started taking pictures of all the places he gets stuck and here are a few!!

Christmas shopping!

I was looking through the Sunday adds and Emma wanted to look. I gave her the toy add and she immediately started telling me things what she wanted..."I have it!" It should be a fun Christmas with her this year! I just can't decide what to buy her! But, she is pretty easy to please! Derrick would be happy getting all of Emma's dolls! He still loves playing with her toys more than his own! I think we will buy him some tools or something "manly" for Christmas! Jon says a gun, but I don't think quite yet! :)

Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!! The kids had a lot of fun! It was a very busy day! Emma couldn't wait to put her costume on and go "twick-tweeting"!! She got a little taste of what was to come on Friday night! The ward did a trunk or treat down at the church! On Tuesday we went to Jon's office and Emma got to trick-or-treat cube to cube! She got tons of candy just from there! Everyone was handing out hanfuls! Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Trafzer's house. She went trick-or-treating up and down their street and got even more candy! As you can see from the picture she got way more candy than any 2 year old needs! So, mom and dad had been eating some to help her out! Derrick was our little toothless vampire! He hated holding still long enough for me to put his hairline and eyebrows on! And Emma was the cutest lady bug ever! She sat very still while I curled her hair in tiny ringlets! She thought it was great fun to sit in mommy's salon chair and get her hair done like my clients! She, of course, didn't want to take her costume off at the end of the night and has wanted to wear it everyday since!! It was a really fun day!
