Fun outdoors!

Well, after talking to Debi I realized how lucky we are to have the weather we are having! The kids love being outside and when it's only 65 degrees...I figure I better let them get their fun out before 110 degrees comes! We bought them a swing a few weeks ago and they both love it! Emma pushes Derrick in it and they just laugh and giggle! She did learn really quick that she has to get out of the way of the swing after she pushes Derrick or she will get knocked in the head! Emma also loves playing with her Cinderella ball and running fast! She always says "I go fast!" and waits for me to say "ready, set, GO!" then she runs from one end of the yard to the other! They are both growing up so fast! Derrick is actually crawling correctly on his knees now (but still has no teeth!) and Emma's vocabulary increases daily! Her new thing is to tell me how much she loves things! This morning it was "Mom, I just love pancakes chocolate!". Jon made us a special treat for breakfast...chocolate chip pancakes! I should have taken a picture of Emma's face after she got done eating them! She says things backwards a lot when she is trying to descibe something, but I guess it's all part of the learning process!! Posted by Picasa

Merry Christmas!!

And so Christmas begins! Derrick looks a little less thrilled than Emma, but he soon started having fun when the toys were rolling in! Posted by Picasa

Cristmas Eve Excitement!

As you can tell from the pictures the kids were pretty wound up and excited on Christmas Eve! I played the piano for a bit and then Jon got out his guitar, so Emma had to get hers out! I love the rock star face with the tongue hanging out...but there is a little bit of country in her too! She pronounces guitar "gee-tar"! Emma woke up at 1am that night and when I went in there to get her back to sleep she said, "PRESENTS!"! Luckily she fell back asleep until about 8am! Posted by Picasa

Chrismas Eve Day!

This is us ready for church on Christmas Eve! (Try to get 2 kids to look at the camera and smile on self-timer mode!) Emma loved twirling in front of her mirror with her dress on! And she had to show off the Christmas tree she decorated in nursery! Posted by Picasa

Christmas on the 23rd!

Saturday naight was our annual Christmas Bonkers party at the Trafzer's! It was a lot of fun, as always! The food was delicious and Emma couldn't get enough of Grandma's "lellow cookies"! The kids were excited to get some early presents...new guitars! And, of course, Jon had to show Emma the correct way to play it! Posted by Picasa

A Visit with Santa!

Yesterday Mila and Emma had a special vistor...SANTA!!! Hospice set it up to have him come and visit Mila and Andrea invited Emma to be there as well! Jon took her because I was busy with clients, but he said they had a good time! They sang Jingle Bells (Emma's favortie Christmas song) and got presents! When Jon and Emma got home Emma came running into the salon saying "Mama, Santa...presents..Dora!" Santa brought her a new Dora doll and a Dora water color book! She loves them both! Merry Christmas!

Derrick's treat and Emma's feet!

Derrick has discovered how good the Gerber Biter Biscuits are! He STILL has no teeth and just nawed on it until it was so soggy and slimy he couldn't hold onto it anymore! GROSS!! Those get so messy, but babies love them! Emma thought it was fun the other day to try and get into Derrick's walker! I was in the other room when I heard her yell, "Mama, HELP!" I ran out there to find her feet straight up in the air, stuck in the walker! She is becoming quite the 2 year old, but we still love her! :)
In other news, Jon's surgery is tomorrow! I'm sure things will go fine and hopefully his recovery will be speedy! We will let you all know how it goes! Posted by Picasa

"You Barbie Princess!"

And so it begins! I was on the phone with my friend this morning when I heard Emma saying, "You Barbie Princess!". I looked over and found her putting a crown on Derrick's head and telling him he was a princess! I absolutely love the look on Derrick's face...kind of like"What are you doing to me?!". Then I think he gives up and realizes this is only the beginning!!! Posted by Picasa
