Emma's Field Trip

In October Emma had her first 2nd grade field trip to The Halle Heart Center. I was a little hesitant hearing about it thinking it may not be 2nd grader geared, but it was actually a really fun field trip and the kids learned a lot and had a great time. They learned all about nutrition, keeping your heart healthy and the comparisons of different animal hearts.

The kids had to race to see which team could place their food in it's correct food group the fastest

I can't remember which animal heart this was, but the kids got to pick it up to see how heavy it was

This was a game where the kids had to roll a ball and try and get it in the "artery". My poor uncoordinated Emma was the only one who missed!

The guide had the kids jump and run around to get their heart rate up so they could hear the difference in their resting heart rate
