Best Friends!

I asked Emma a couple weeks ago who her best friend was. I thought she would say Derrick or maybe a princess, but she said "Ava!" This is Ava...Emma's best friend! They are usually inseparable during dance class! Their teacher has had to separate them during class because they would not let go of each others hands, therefore they weren't dancing! But, it is pretty cute to watch! Ava isn't big on taking pictures so this is the best I could do! But, they are funny to watch together!

The After Party...

Emma thought it was her birthday because we had everyone over for pizza, cake and ice cream after the recital! And, of course, she received gifts! She got a new Barbie car, flowers, hair bows and a bag of goodies from the "stage mom"!

Emma blessed the food at dinner and said, "Thank you, I did good at my recital and for my birthday!" She has been praying everyday this past week that she would dance good at her recital!

One big happy family! We were so happy for her!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

We had a great Thanksgiving this year at Grandma and Grandpa Clark's house!



The kids were so excited to go...which explains the look on Derrick's face! Emma was especially excited because I told her that after Thanksgiving we get ready for Christmas! She already had her snowman ready to go! Now she asks every day if it is Christmas yet!


It's always fun at Grandma and Grandpa's house! They set up this leaf from the table for the boys to run their cars down, but it ended up being a really fun slide!



It was fun being with family, eating great food and letting the kids play together!

New Pics!

I just thought I would post some new pictures! Not a lot is going on in our lives right now...just trying to get ready for the Holidays! Emma is understanding this year that she gets new toys for Christmas and that is all she talks about! When we go to the store she is yelling through the toy aisle "MOM I WANT THAT FOR CHRISTMAS!"! Jon and I were trying to teach her why we celebrate Christams and we told her that maybe we could go through her toys and give some to kids who don't have a lot of toys! Her reply was, "YA, then I can get new toys!!" We'll keep working on the giving thing! These pictures are from Sunday before church and of the kids watching a movie together and playing outside! If Jon ever teaches me how, I will try and post a video!

Happy Halloween!!

Halloween was a lot of fun this year! Emma was a Spider Princess and Derrick was a Scarecrow! On Tuesday night we went to Grandma and Grandpa Clark's ward "Trunk-or-Treat" and on Wednesday Jon's work has all the kids come in and trick-or-treat cube to cube in the office! Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Trafzer's to trick-or-treat in their neighborhood with Uncle Kevin and his girlfriend Stevi! The kids had a lot of fun and it didn't take long for Derrick to get the hang of it! Although, he wanted to go into every house that opened their door! Especially the ones with "goggies" (dogs)! Now we have more candy than we need and I know I will just sit at home and eat it all day!!

We have a climber...

I'm in for it now! Derrick has discovered how much fun climbing is! He has already fallen off the couch onto the tile and off a chair at my mom's house onto carpet! The other day I was with a client and Emma yells,"Mom, Derrick's on the counter!" I ran out there and sure enough he had climbed up onto the chair at the bar and onto the counter to play with the oranges in the fruit bowl, thinking they were balls! He was sitting very nicely and just grinned at me when I ran in there! I think that boy is going to give me a heart attack! The other pictures are of Emma playing with my headbands! She went a little overbaord this time!

Texas Trip!

Last weekend I was able to take a quick trip to my sister's house in Dallas! Her oldest, Kyler, was being baptized and her youngest, Mylie, was being blessed! Jon held down the fort while I was gone and all survived! :) These are all pictures from the baptism, which was very nice! If I'm remembering right, this is the first time that both my sister's and I have been together in almost 4 years! We got to do some shopping and just visit! It was a lot of fun!!

Mylie's Blessing Day!

Here is baby Mylie on her Blessing Day! My mom crocheted the dress...it was beautiful! After church I got to take a nap with her and Brinklie decided to cuddle up with us! It was a great trip and it was good to get my loves out on a cute baby...and then give her back! :)

New dress-ups!

Emma got a late birthday present from our friends, Ryan and Wendy! It is a trunk full of Barbie dress-up clothes from the new Barbie movie "Island Princess"! They could not have picked a better gift! We have watched that movie just about every day since it came out a couple weeks ago! Emma was so excited!

"John Mulan Deere"

This is what you get when you have a girl and a boy playing together! I put the kids down for naps the other day and came out to the family room to find Mulan driving Derrick's truck! I just thought it was funny! At least Emma and Derrick are compromising with their toys!

BIG "Boon"!!

For those who did not know...Jon had his appendix taken out a couple of weeks ago! He doing great now, still a little sore sometimes, but all went well! His sister, Andrea, brought him this GIANT Shrek balloon in the hospital and the kids loved it! Derrick calls them "boons"! I finally let the air out of it the other day! I think it would have lasted months if I didn't! But, they had fun while it lasted!
