At 7 months our little Gracie started saying dada! She is a daddy's girl just like her sister! She is still sucking her thumb and starting to roll into some crazy places around the house and in her sleep! She is trying to hold her own bottle but just makes a mess of it. Grace has discovered a love for baby dolls and she still enjoys playing with her brother and sister. They take good care of her. Right before turning 8 months she finally learned to scoot! She does the same army crawl that Emma did. Every night when it's time to go to sleep so throws a huge fit, but we still love her! How could you not?!

California Vacation
At the end of September (25-29) we took a great vacation to California with Jon's family. Grandma and Grandpa Trafzer, Uncle Kevin, Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Sarah all went. We left on Tuesday afternoon. The kids loved seeing the windmills and that was always my favorite part of the drive to California when I was a kid too. Once we got checked into our hotel it was dinner time. We walked over to a restaurant that was nearby and ate a delicious dinner. Everyone was excited and in good spirits. We had a lot of fun at dinner and then played some Mad Libs in the hotel lobby later that night. But we were mostly excited to be going to Disneyland and California Adventure! I can't believe I talked Jon into this trip. I was really wanting to go to Disneyland and he said no way! There was the question of how we would do it with Grace. But then we got the thought to invite his family. We hadn't really talked about it after that until one day Jon came home from work one day and said, "Hey kids want to go to Disneyland?!" I think I was included as a kid in that rhetorical question because I got super excited! So off we went!
Wednesday-California Adventure
On Wednesday we started off the fun by going to California Adventure. The kids were so excited to be there. Grace did awesome all day and just slept when she needed to in her stroller and Grandma and Grandpa were a huge help watching and spoiling her while we rode rides she couldn't ride. Her first ride was Toy Story Mania. She cried. I think all the noise and lights scared her. But she adjusted and did just fine. Emma loved joining in the Army men show and marched right along with them. We enjoyed delicious turkey legs for lunch and then rode the Mickey Ferris Wheel which was later renamed by Uncle Ronnie, "The Wheel of Terror"! We chose to ride the swinging cars with Ron and Sarah while Kevin and Sher rode the regular ones. I must admit the swinging cars made it a bit scarier! But Grace enjoyed the nice swinging motion! She was ready to go to sleep. Cars Land was amazing! It literally felt like you just stepped into the movie. And the ride was really fun too. But my favorite part of the day was watching the World of Color show. It was the most beautiful and amazing thing I've ever seen! Absolutely incredible! It was a great start to our vacation. We were tired by the end of the night but ready for Disneyland the next day!
