Cake!!

I made a simple cake for Derrick's birthday! He did not cry this time when we brought it out and started singing! Maybe a run through the week before was a great idea! :)


Trying hard to blow out the candle!
He wanted to lick the candle so I put it in his mouth and he took a BIG bite!
Yummy, wax!
He was hesitant to pick up the cake! He doesn't like food on his fingers!

Finally, I just gave it to him! But, he was still holding it very carefully!!
Savoring the flavor!


He eventually got the hang of it and ate quite a bit of birthday cake!
