Derrick's 1st Day of Preschool!

My baby started preschool the first week of September. I can't believe it! I thought for sure he would cry when I dropped him off, but instead it was me crying after I dropped him off! Derrick just waved his big goofy wave and yelled, "Bye mom"! Despite the tears, I am enjoying having 2 hours a day 3 days week to myself. It has been really nice! Derrick is doing great in school. He loves it! I am trying to get him to make more friends. He is not very social, so hopefully that will come with time. He tells me that is is now playing with all of his friends at school, so I hope it continues that way. I never had to worry about that with Emma. She can make friends easily. I guess maybe it's just different for boys. But, his teacher says he's doing good. I'm glad he has the opportunity to go.
