Thursday was Sarah's birthday and Disneyland day! Who doesn't get excited for Disneyland? The first thing we did when we walked in was wait in line for the girls to see Minnie and Ariel. Then we were off for some fun! The park was decorated for Halloween and when we got to the Haunted Mansion Jack Skellington and Sally were outside but the kids were too scared to go see them. But they loved the Haunted Mansion all decked out with Nightmare Before Christmas stuff. We of course enjoyed the best lunch ever at Cafe Orleans. A Monte Cristo sandwich and parmesan fries! SO GOOD! While we were waiting for lunch Grandma bought Emma some really cute Minnie Ears. After lunch, Grandpa was the poor soul who got to ride the tea cups with the kids. At least he looked like he was having fun. :) One of my favorite pictures from the trip is Emma on Splash Mountain! She looks scared to death! Emma really wanted her face painted fancy, so dad took her to get that done. It was pink and sparkly, just what she loves! We ended the day riding It's a Small World and taking some pictures by the castle. After leaving the park we went to Downtown Disney so Derrick could go shopping at the Lego store. We made a sticker chart before the vacation and if the kids had good behavior and got a majority of their stickers then they got big presents in California. Derrick got to pick any lego set he wanted in the store. I think it was a little overwhelming to him. It was a huge store! He loved it! He picked out a Ninjago set and was really happy with it. Grace did awesome again and I think she had fun seeing all that goes on in a busy place. I'm ready to go back, but of course Jon says we have to wait. We'll see how long we wait. I'm thinking next year is good! :)
