Andrea and Blake's Wedding!

Saturday was Jon's sister Andrea's wedding. It was a completely crazy and busy day for us, but it was also a very special day! That morning I woke up at 6:30 after being awake with Derrick and Emma for most of the night and went to my mother-in-law's house to do wedding hair. (It's a good thing I can function on 2 hours of sleep!) My wonderful friend Sabrea came over and did Andrea's makeup and she looked absolutely beautiful! Andrea and Blake were married and sealed in the Mesa Temple. It was a very special and beautiful ceremony! As they came out of the temple they looked liked they were glowing they were so happy! We went to lunch at Joe's B-B-Q and then I ran off to take Derrick to Urgent Care. Then I ran home, got Emma ready for her recital, changed clothes and we were off to the recital. After the recital we went straight to the reception. It was very nice. We only had Emma with us because Derrick stayed at home to rest. I have to say it was amazing to see the pure joy and happiness that was on Andrea's face that night! Andrea and Blake may have only known each other for a short amount of time, but you can tell they are truly in love! Blake is a really great guy and we couldn't have picked better for Andrea. We are so happy for both of them and the decisions they have made! During the reception Emma got to dance with Uncle Blake, Dad, and Grandpa! I didn't even get to dance once! (And my husband heard about that later!) She had a good time! Jon made an impromptu speech and I thought Andrea was going to strangle him for the way he started it off, but then I think he truly spoke from his heart about how he was proud of the decisions Andrea was making. It was a nice older brother speech. Jon actually told me he was excited to go to this reception which is unheard of. I don't think he even wanted to go to his own wedding reception! We just want to congratulate the bride and groom and tell them we love them and wish them the best always!

The bride's hair looks amazing! I'm glad Emma was able to enjoy herself so much after her looong day and her cheek-mishap, poor thing!
