The Nutcracker Ballet

Yesterday Emma and I went to the Ballet Etudes performance of The Nutcracker at Chandler Center for the Arts. We went with my mom, my sister, Jeni, and her 2 girls. I guess I'm a Nutcracker snob having seen Ballet Arizona and a Russian ballet group perform it before, I wasn't expecting a lot from the performance since it was put on by students. I was proved wrong...it was wonderful! The ages of some of the main dancers were anywhere from 12-19. They were very good! Emma loved it and was captivated til the end. She loved the snow, the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Snow Queen! She even got to see Santa in the lobby! It was a lot of fun!

My niece Grace is in that-Caroline's little girl! She doesn't have a big part only being seven years old (she is a mouse), but she auditioned for it and made it. How fun you guys went to see it and liked it more than you thought you would! Too bad you didn't run into Caroline there!
